Mikhail Blagosklonny is a professor and scientist based in Russia. He is well known for his extensive research in the field of medicine, specifically cancer, and aging. He currently teaches at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York, as an Oncologist Professor.
In his early years, Professor Mikhail Blagosklonny took up a higher education and earned both his M.D. in the field of internal medicine and his Ph.D. in experimental cardiology and medicine from the First Pavlov State Medical University of St. Peterburg. In 2002, After successfully achieving his education, Professor Blagoklonny was selected to become the associate professor of medicine at the New York Medical College in Valhalla before accepting a higher position at the Ordway Research Institute in Albany, New York as a senior scientist
He had maintained his high position until the year 2009, where he was appointed a professor of oncology at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Professor Mikhail Blagosklonny took his research interest to the next level and found himself becoming more focused in the field of cancer, its targeted therapies that protect healthy cells from immense damage, as well as the repressed contrivances of aging and drugs that are used specifically for anti-aging.
Throughout the years, Professor Mikhail Blagosklonny continued to show perseverance and dedication towards his research. Closely after puzzling his research together piece by piece, he became one of the editors in chief, of a medical journal named Oncotarget. This journal has been known to talk about the topic and research of oncology, thus where the name came from, but in recent years, the journal had started to grow rapidly. Aside from focusing on oncology, they have also added different topics to tackle, but oncology being their primary and most popular published issue. Professor Blagoklonny being the editor and chief has also contributed to the journal by publishing a large number of his research, which focused more on Oncology being his main topic of reference and Biogerontology.
In some of his work, Professor Blagoklonny talks about how people can reverse the effects of aging, and slow it down entirely on a molecular level.
